The European Observatory on IPR Infringements together with the European Patent Office published its 4th study on IPR sectors' contribution to EU employment and GDP. 

IPR-intensive industries generated 29.7% of all jobs in the EU in the period 2017-2019. IPR-intensive industries generated more than 47% of total economic activity (GDP) in the EU.

Film and audiovisual sector welcomes new European Audiovisual Observatory study paving the way towards a successful end of the stakeholder dialogue. Observatory findings confirm wide availability and circulation of non-national European AV productions.

NEW EY study estimates that cultural and creative industries (CCIs) - including the film/TV sector represented 4.4% of EU GDP and employed more than 7.6 million people in 2019 and are key to European recovery post-pandemic.  The new study complements the EY study focusing on the film/TV sector released in September 2020.
